1. Who should take Nutrition and System Biology: A Review of Eight Systems?
This course is ideal for any health professional who wants a more organized approach to understanding nutrition as it relates to the body systems. Or, anyone simply wanting to gain confidence and propel their clinical nutrition skills forward.
Recommended candidates include: registered dietitians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and functional medicine/nutrition coaches. An undergraduate degree in a health related field is beneficial but not required.
2. How much functional nutrition experience is required to sign up?
No experience in functional nutrition is required but it is preferred to have some health background. This course will improve any practitioner’s knowledge and skills in identifying “root causes” and facilitating better nutrition care.
3. How long is the course?
The course has more than 40 hours of video and a minimum of 30 hours of reading. This can be easily completed in three months but if you are ambitious it could be completed in two weeks or a month or longer.
4. Can I start anytime?
Yes! Since the program is a recorded webinar, you can purchase and take the course at your own pace. Once you have paid for the course in full, you have access to the entire course for as long as the course is approved.
5. Will I earn CEUs?
Yes! Registered and licensed dietitians and dietetic technicians will receive 70 CEUs. This course has been approved for 70 CPEs by the Commission of Dietetics.
Other professionals must check their credentialing agencies for approval. As a general rule, RNs receive nutrition credits for courses approved by the Commission of Dietetics.
6. What if I'm already enrolled in a functional nutrition or medicine program. Would it be redundant?
This 8-System Biology coursework is designed for any nutrition practitioner seeking more support regarding a variety of topics including: anatomy and physiology, biomarkers and labs related to nutrition, supplements, the gut microbiome, nutritional genomics and communicating this information to traditional and functional clinicians.
7. Do you accept payment plans? Yes! In addition to one full payment, you may pay either in two, three or four consecutive monthly payments.
